H Edwin Haller IV, CLU®, ChFC®

Financial Advisor


Ed Haller is a Financial Advisor as well as Growth and Development Director for the Pittsburgh Network Office of Northwestern Mutual. He is responsible for his personal financial services practice as well as recruiting, training, and developing new financial advisors. Ed graduated from Washington & Jefferson College with a B.A. degree in Business Administration in 2001. He began his career with Northwestern Mutual directly out of college.

Ed has earned his CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designations. The CLU® designation is one of the highest levels of study in the life insurance profession.  The ChFC is an advanced planning designation that addresses all aspects of financial planning with a focus on the practical applications of those principles based on real life case studies. These designations help Ed to provide a wider array of solutions for his clients' personal needs, including income replacement, estate analysis, wealth management and wealth transfer. He takes great pride in providing a higher level of service to his clients.

Ed is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and currently resides in Squirrel Hill with his wife Amy and their son Henry. In his spare time, Ed enjoys playing golf and squash, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He is also heavily involved in the community.

Community Service

United Way
Ed Haller is a member of the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania's Tocqueville Society.  He is also the Co-Chair of the Emerging Leaders Tocqueville Committee, helping the United Way of Southwestern PA identify the next generation of leadership donors.

St. Edmund's Academy
Ed Haller serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Edmund's Academy in Squirrel Hill where he attended kindergarten through the eighth grade.

The Neighborhood Academy

Ed Haller served on the board of directors for The Neighborhood Academy from 2013-2019.  He is currently on the development committee for the school.  The Neighborhood Academy exists to provide a holistic college-prep education for students in grades 6-12 who come from low income families.
